I have spent time in Curaçao and have developed many friendships there. This familiarity allows me to share some of the island's hidden gems while helping create a smooth, comfortable, and memorable experience for our group.

One of the things I love most about Curaçao is that it feels both adventurous and easy. English is widely spoken, the island is modern and welcoming, and the pace of life encourages you to slow down, connect, and enjoy the moment.

Our Upgraded Beachfront Accommodations

Our group will stay at LionsDive Beach Resort at Mambo Beach, where the resort itself becomes part of the Curaçao experience.

When I originally planned this retreat, I selected simple accommodations directly across from our beachfront atelier because I envisioned the atelier as our home base throughout the week. As the retreat has evolved, I realized that our creative experiences do not need to happen in one place. We can create at the resort, by the ocean, at the atelier and throughout the island, while also allowing time to simply relax and enjoy Curaçao.

Staying at LionsDive gives us the best of both worlds: meaningful creative experiences together and the freedom for each participant to enjoy the island at her own pace. The beachfront location offers easy access to the beach, pools, restaurants and bars, with Mambo Beach Boulevard’s restaurants, shops and entertainment nearby.

This also gives everyone more independence in the evenings. Those who want to relax or retire early can do so, while others can stay out longer enjoying dinner, music, dancing or the Caribbean atmosphere without requiring the entire group to follow the same schedule.

Daily breakfast at the resort is included, giving us an easy and relaxed way to begin each morning together before the day’s activities.

Travel Information

Participants will be greeted at Curaçao International Airport (CUR) and transported to LionsDive Beach Resort at Mambo Beach.

For most participants traveling from California, flights typically involve one connection and take approximately 9–14 hours depending on the route.

For participants traveling from the East Coast, including Washington, D.C., flights often involve one connection and typically take approximately 5–9 hours.

Arrival & Departure

Arrival: Sunday, February 7, 2027

Participants should plan to arrive in Curaçao on Sunday, February 7. Airport transportation to the resort will be arranged, and that evening we’ll gather for a casual welcome reception to meet one another, settle in and begin our week together.

Retreat: Monday, February 8–Thursday, February 11, 2027

Our retreat activities will begin Monday morning and continue through Thursday.

Departure: Friday, February 12, 2027

Participants may depart at a time that works best for their travel schedule. Airport transportation will be arranged.

A private room at LionsDive is available for an additional $775 for the five-night stay, subject to availability.

Your place is reserved once your deposit and required current payment have been received. Because this is an intentionally small retreat and accommodations are limited, I encourage you to reserve your place as soon as you know you would like to join us.

Keeping the group small allows me to create a more personal experience where everyone has an opportunity to connect, feel welcomed, explore their creativity, and enjoy Curaçao together.

I am truly excited about the creativity, inspiration, friendships, and memories we will share. My hope is that this retreat will be much more than a trip—it will be five beautiful days to create, explore, relax, connect, and return home feeling inspired and renewed.
